Makeup enthusiasts or just beginners, we have all asked ourselves at least once the same question: Which products to choose according to the color of our eyes?

Because we can quickly be lost between all the products on offer, the beauty advice or even the make-up that we wanted to produce but which are not the most flattering on us.

Today I invite you to share tips and tricks for applying makeup to your brown eyes.

How To Makeup For Brown Eyes

Brown eyes: How to adapt your make-up to the shade of your eyes?

First, it is important to remember that all colors are suitable for brown eyes. However, you can play on the contrast between two complementary colors to bring out the color of your eyes. It is also important not to forget other factors that come into play in determining whether a color will suit us or not such as our phenotype, our style of dress, or our personal tastes. Make-up is above all made to please you and to feel beautiful, so do not hesitate to have fun when you put on make-up!

To find out which colors are best for brown eyes, we can use the color wheel. And there, back in childhood, we remember that brown is a mixture of three primary colors: cyan blue, magenta red, and yellow. If you have brown eyes you are in luck you can play with any color! However, there are tones to favor depending on the type of brown in your eyes:

If you have very dark brown eyes: You’re in luck you can afford all the shades since we are not trying to create a contrast and the shade of your eyes is not likely to interfere with another color. The shades of green, blue, red, pink, and orange are yours. We still prefer colors in warm tones to bring intensity to the eyes.

If you have brown or light brown eyes: Golden, copper hues will bring out the gold in your eyes. You can also go for brown, brown, or cream shades, they will be perfect for creating an everyday look and accentuating your look if you play around with different shades of brown. Finally, you can also opt for warm and dark purples or greens to create evening or more extravagant looks.

Here you can find our selection of the best makeup palettes, some of which are perfect for brown eyes.

Quick tutorial: everyday makeup for brown eyes

I offer you an everyday look that would be perfect to put on your brown eyes. Once you are comfortable you can experiment with the different colors to see what looks best on you.

Step 1: Apply an eyeshadow primer to work on the eyeshadows more easily and for a long-lasting hold.

Step 2: We choose three eyeshadows (nude close to your skin color, brown color, and a transition color that will allow us to blend the two colors together.

Step 3: We start by applying the nude color to the entire eyelid.

Step 4: Then we apply the brown eyeshadow in the outer corner of the eye that we will go up above the mobile eyelid and blend well.

Step 5: We apply our transition shadow in the middle of the mobile eyelid and blend well to avoid demarcations.

Step 6: Take a brown pencil with which to draw a line of liner and which we blend to intensify the look.

Step 7: Complete your look with black or brown mascara depending on your preference.

You can also add a golden touch to brighten up the look. If you don’t have golden eyeshadow you can use a highlighter.
